Who is Jane?

The Jane App is our online solution for booking, billing, secure storage of documentation and more! You will be prompted to create an account or profile if you decide to book a session. Click on the Jane icon to visit the Clinic's Jane site.

Intake Form

Completing the online intake form through your Jane account before your first session is an important step in your therapy journey. It takes most people about 5-10 minutes to complete and also includes your consent to service. Your therapist will review it before your session to prepare for your appointment so you get the most out of the session. Completing the intake form in advance also saves you time as it will need to be completed during your session if you didn't get a chance to do it in advance.

Clinic Hours & Location

We are open Monday-Friday from 9-8pm. Additional availability may be offered, please discuss with your therapist. We do not offer crisis services. Email and phones are only monitored during business hours. If you are experiencing an emotional or mental health crisis please go to your nearest Emergency Department, contact ReachOUT 24/7 or another help line or call a trusted family member or friend for help.

Direct Billing?

We cannot offer direct billing at this time (unless you were referred to us through your EAP or WSIB). Billing is done either by credit card at the end of your session or by e-transfer 24 hrs in advance of your session as arranged with the clinic in advance.

Can I Come In-Person?

Sessions are available both in-person and online. Many people enjoy a hybrid approach and will use both online and in-person sessions depending on their other life commitments that week. Online sessions are offer in either the Jane app platform or Google Meet. Both are PHIPA compliant and secure. Our recently renovated clinic has been designed to feel comfortable and inviting. Arrive early to your session so you can help yourself to complimentary bottled water or a delicious Nespresso coffee or latte to enjoy during your session!

First Sessions

Usually, your therapist will use the first session to get to know you and build rapport. Your therapist will guide you through and answer any questions you have about what to expect moving forward.

Time Commitment

Most people find they start to feel relief of their symptoms in 4-6 sessions. However, this is highly related to your unique set of circumstances. You will discuss how often you are available to attend sessions (most people prefer weekly or bi-weekly to start), your preferences for length of sessions and how you will know you've reached your goals and are ready to stop therapy, with your therapist.

Session Length

Sessions usually run 50 minutes or 80 minutes long and are booked on the half hour. This allows your therapist 10 minutes in between sessions to re-group, complete notes, etc.
